  • This is a step in the right direction and it’s a good thing it passed, but there’s a reason the linked article is pretty vague and doesn’t link to the bill. In short, it’s basically just that starting next year manufacturers have to provide documentation and potentially tools(like software) to facilitate third party repair on certain household consumer electronics.

I’ve had some beers and only skimmed it, so I really hope I’m reading it wrong or missed something. Because it seems to exclude a lot of things. Ranging from video game consoles to basically anything that can be used outdoors and has a motor or battery.

TL;DR: At a drunk glance it looks like a “third party phone repair” bill.

    For further clarification:

The Antarctic Peninsula(the long bit sticking out) is the furtest part away from the south pole in the antarctic and is thus the northernmost part, and is generally considered to be the “north” when using cardinal directions there. The Weddell Sea is off the coast of the peninsula.

Companies like Pornhub actually have strick controls to actually protect children with their anti-CP policies.

To be fair, that’s a more recent thing. It had some terrible content in the past. Then around 2020 that got some publicity so Visa, Mastercard and Discover all threatened blacklist them if they didn’t start moderating properly.

Although your point still stands, the whole “Wont somebody think of the children!?!11” lamentation is a dead giveaway. And I’m sad that more people don’t realize.

It’s honestly sad seeing posts like these.

Did people forget that it’s always projection with republicans? And how they stop complaining about something when they do the sort of thing they usually complain about? And notice how they’re no longer compaining about a “swamp” or some vague “them” controlling the people in charge? Because that’s what is going on right now.

And they are clearly succeeding in one of the their main goals: Put the blame on the idiots with the public facing positions.

  • Oh yeah, that is by far the best device in which they’re used these days. Although that has little to do with grenades per se, since they can use all kinds of different explosive devices. And it still suffers from the main concern with hand grenades: Time to prepare. It’s a lot faster and cheaper to throw one 20-30m than it is to take out, power up and send a drone that distance.

  • Grenades are mostly used at closer and more hectic ranges, so it’s often much faster to just throw it instead of having to prepare some sort of implement to increase range.

There have been instances of things being used, like slings, slingshots and even devices similar to those things you use to throw tennis balls for dogs. But at the end of the day, the increased range is rarely worth the extra time needed. You would only get an advantage as an opening attack from a longer distance. And for that we already have under-barrel grenade launchers that can reach ten times further than thrown ones, or mortars that could be a hundred times further away from the target.

  • You are seemingly correct:

According to the British War Office, the stielhandgranate had a throwing distance of up to 27m while standing, compared to the 35m distance of the more modern and still used M67. Which weighs 30% less and take up 75% less space lengthwise. Even the Mk2( classic pineapple design) reached 30m despite weghing the same as the German one, because it was denser and more aerodynamic.

EDIT: For anyone curious, the ideal shape among those used and weight for distance and accuray is apparently round and ~300g. Reaching a distance of (38.6±6.5 m) and an accuracy of of (6.9±3.9 m).

  • Same thing that’s wrong with imgur and many other websites: It was made for a singular purpose, but over the years it was turned more and more into a commercialized social media platform.

If you open fandom now, about half the page is filled with links, images, popouts, side bar, bottom bar, sliding bars, unhidden elements, notifications, etc. trying to get you to join their “community”, and things like that. It’s automatically playing videos. They stopped letting people have custom looks for hosted wikis(all has to follow the fandom look so they can enforce their “community” nonsense). And that’s with adblock. Without it’s actually hard to find what is the real content, since there are about a dozen ads covering everything.

  • That’s not true, there are a few democrats caught comitting voter fraud. Although it’s people who only tried to vote once and the “fraud” was because of paperwork issues like their change in voter registration not going through in time.

Meanwhile republicans go out of their way to vote multiple times or illegally on behalf of others. They even do it as an attempt to “prove” that democrats do it, sometimes referred to as trying to frame someone for a crime.

TL;DR: It’s only conservatives who intentionally commit voter fraud.
