I’ll give that a try. I actually never figured out scanning on linux
Brother printers have a good reputation in the linux world. Not sure what the current status is… My printer is over 15 yrs old
No such thing as a CF-16…
If it is a successful model, it would be our moral duty to fund it.
Maybe start with corporate handouts. Just a fraction of a few billions every year we give to oil and automakers could fill the funding gap.
And lets pretend that the government already runs 100% efficiently and there’s no more fat to cut, then i would gladly pay more taxes to fix the opiod crisis.
That money spent has trickle down effects. Fewer crazy people on public transit, our parks would nicer, we could actually have public bathrooms opened all year round without fear of them being used as injection sites
Frame it as those benefits, and i’m sure most canadians would cough up an extra $20
OSS is a corporate lie. What you are describing is free software. Freedom to modify and distribute
I was talking to someone about this very same postal issue, and his example was DHL. “Privatization turned them around! They’re now an international company!!!”
Why the fuck does canada post need to be competing internationally? Just deliver the mail and have a gov’t presence in small towns to provide other services.
Just spend the money to service canadians… It doesnt have to be profitable nor an international competitor
Also, DHL sucks…
Had privatization ever worked out? Like, ever?
Yes. It works out really nicely for our oligarchs.
Make Xperia Compact great again!!!
Modern phones do not fit in my pants pockets anymore… Wtf
Yeah, just like OP, i just wanted to go to school, explore the castle, and skip class once on a while
Instead, a lot of the game is just running around murdering goblins. And my character is a total psycho… Just gleefully wiping people out with UNFORGIVABLE CURSES, WTF… using a curse is enough to land you in azkaban. Yet my character is just openly firing these curses off with impunity and the game seemingly doesnt give you any feedback that this is wrong, nor any deterrents. (Maybe there are some consequences later?? I put the game down for a while because the constant combat was too much for me)
Also, kidnapping animals, and putting them in your zoo so that you can harvest magical materials from them. How is that any better than the poachers???
Kids are going to have a warped sense of morality after playing this game
And how much of that 2% is actually separated bike lane? Paint is not infrastructure
A white line with a bike symbol painted on the road doesnt protect anyone
Fire stations aren’t profitable! We need to phase out direct services to individual homes! Community fire hoses to be provided near every hydrant!
Former member here…
Exactly. Fuck MEC. Will never go back. Plenty of other for profit stores selling overseas made stuff anyway, if thats what i’m looking for
Unless i see some real, tangible changes back to its co-op values, i won’t go back. Don’t tell me about your “vision” of Made in Canada (deliberate avoidance of “product of canada”?)
Does the boot screen look ok? Does the login screen look ok?
I had a problem with my new 9070 on debian KDE, and the issue was with color accuracy setting
Wait… This was disclosed before even debian could fix???

Has FPTP always been this problematic in canadian history?
How did this “work” for the first 100 years of confederation?
We arent that far behind. I’ve had to pay for tons of private services out of pocket here in quebec.
Basic shit like dermatology and MRIs
(Is debian considered a “debian-based” distro?)
Debian users, ignore the above. Debian explicity warns against using ubuntu ppa
The correct way to get libreoffice in debian is just to apt install libreofffice… It’s already in the main debian repos

One of my machines i’ve been just upgrading in place since debian 8. No need for new installation
Debian isn’t barbaric at all.
